ACTUAL TOPICS - ENERGY EFFICIENT HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES

According to the Low of efficient use of energy, which was adopted on 15 March 2013, in the Republic of Serbia, products that consume electricity must have the prescribed energy labels. This is primarily related to home appliances, such as washers and dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, televisions, air-conditioning, air conditioners, electric lamps and light fixtures. Seven basic energy classes of products that affect energy consumption are difindned by Low. These marks define that the device is labeled with G is the lowest efficient class, while the device is labeled with A is the most efficient. There are three subclasses, within the class A, that indicate greater energy efficiency of the device including: A +, A ++ and A +++.

According to some statistics, the largest consumers of electricity in the household are appliances (refrigerators, washing machines, electric stoves, water heaters, freezers), thay spend one-fifth of the total amount of electricity that houselods need.

The advantage of energy-efficient devices are marked with higher energy class is that they have lower noise levels, consume less electricity and therefore are environmentally friendly.

Annual savings that can be achieved with help of devices with higher energy class is very significant, within a year, and the price of appliances with energy class A and A +++ may amount to several euros. The energy saving device of highest energy class pays off in a few months.
